Rates

My current rate is $125 per 50-minute session, and I offer a sliding scale and credit-card payment (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). For couple therapy, child therapy, and family therapy, I may initially request extended sessions of up to 90 minutes for assessment and planning.

If you are interested in using health insurance, please call me for information on insurance eligibility. Consider carefully whether using health insurance is the best option for you. Using insurance for psychotherapy can present certain difficulties, including strict limits on the number of authorized sessions, the inclusion of a formal psychiatric diagnosis on your record, and a greater risk that your confidentiality will be compromised.

If you have access to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) through your employer or a Health Savings Account (HSA) through enrollment in a qualifying high-deductible health plan, you may be able to pay for therapy with tax-free earnings. Check with your FSA or HSA administrator for more information about this option.

If you are interested in private-pay therapy but are unsure whether you can afford the fee, please give me a call. It may be possible to offset the cost of your therapy through a sliding-scale fee or, when appropriate, a time-limited therapy. If you still are unable to afford therapy, I can help you to locate a suitable low-cost alternative.
